In the context of Where Sun Meets Shore, I respond to Dubai’s unique rhythm; a place where the desert meets the sea and elemental forces are in constant dialogue. My paintings reflect the transitional nature of sun-bleached sands, shimmering waters, and the clarity of desert light. These qualities echo in my biomorphic forms, layered gestures, and horizon-like structures that evoke both vastness and intimacy.

The duality of Dubai—its stillness and movement, its coast and desert inspires a liminal space in my work, where forms are always becoming. I aim to capture that threshold where memory, nature, and emotion intersect.

Working from memory, I build narratives through light, shadow, and a luminous palette. My practice is rooted in layering, erasure, and intuitive gesture, incorporating organic forms and tactile surfaces. I explore the spirituality of nature and the materiality of paint using it as a performative tool to create meaning and emotional connection.

Large oil and ink surfaces, as well as smaller canvases, serve as fragments of imagined landscapes. Through diverse materials and tools—brushes, rags, knives; I respond to my environment, allowing each painting to unfold as a contemplative and expressive space.
